Role Overview
ChargerHelp! Inc is seeking a Safety Manager who will be instrumental in developing and implementing safety protocols and programs across all operational levels. This role is crucial for ensuring a safe working environment for our employees, contractors, and customers, particularly in the dynamic and potentially hazardous field of EV charging station operation and maintenance. The Safety Manager will be responsible for creating safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and leading safety training sessions, all aimed at minimizing risks and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

Key Outcomes and Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and oversee ChargerHelp’s safety policies:
Objective: Develop, implement, and oversee ChargerHelp!’s safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
Strengthen ChargerHelp!’s reputation for safety and compliance, building trust with clients, employees, and stakeholders.
Foster a culture of safety, evidenced by improved employee engagement and a decrease in workplace safety violations.
Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventative strategies.
Lead our driving safety program including managing company EV fleet:
Objective: Lead our driving safety program including managing company EV fleet, MVRs, and manage driver’s insurance policy and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and delivery of safety training programs for employees, focusing on the specific risks associated with EV charging station installation and maintenance.
Serve as the primary point of contact and manage Compliance Vendors:
Objective: Serve as the primary point of contact and manage Worker’s Comp, insurance and MVR maintenance, incident reporting, and all safety-related issues; offering guidance and support to staff, contractors and vendors on best safety practices.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with management to integrate safety considerations into operational planning and decision-making processes.
Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and develop solutions to prevent future occurrences.
Conduct engaging company-wide safety presentations and safety themed monthly communications.
Represent ChargerHelp as an EV Safety O & M expert
Objective: Represent ChargerHelp as an EV Safety O & M expert in internal & external publications, serving as a subject matter expert.
Responsibilities:
Stay up-to-date on new safety regulations and technologies in the EV industry to continually enhance ChargerHelp!’s safety protocols.
Develop live internal safety programs and content
Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience in a safety management role, preferably within the technology, construction, or electrical sectors.
Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and standards, with specific expertise in electrical safety being highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of leading training sessions and effectively disseminating safety information across all organizational levels.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving safety requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in safety management, environmental health, or a related field preferred.
Certifications in safety management (e.g., CSP, NEBOSH) are a plus.
